Gamesload takes over sponsorship of "young creation" prize for up-and-coming talent - part of the New Media Award 2006

Talented young advertising designers can win €5000

Darmstadt, October 19, 2005. - The New Media Award is 10 years old! Again in this special anniversary year, the initiators T-Online, InteractiveMedia and media partner Horizont are inviting creative young people to demonstrate their talent in connection with the young creation prize. For young persons engaged in creative advertising in the new media sector, submitting an entry could be well worthwhile, with prize money of €5000 on offer.

This year Gamesload, the download shop for PC games, is acting as sponsor for young creation and is presenting these younger competitors with a "gaming" challenge. They are invited to develop an online campaign that will highlight the outstanding features of the brand and position Gamesload as a top provider of "game downloads - simple and reliable". There are practically no limits to the creativity of the young entrants, provided that they develop and implement their campaign independently. In addition to innovative design, the panel of experts which assesses the entries will be looking out for interactive and dialog capabilities.

As Arndt Groth, CEO of InteractiveMedia CCSP GmbH, explains: "In this anniversary year of the New Media Award, we are seeking to encourage younger talents, because it's they who hold the key to future of the online advertising industry. The young creation prize will give them an opportunity to show what they are capable of and to make a name for themselves in this sector. We are looking forward to fresh ideas, courageous concepts and creative projects."

The young creation prize is aimed at students working in creative or media-oriented disciplines and at talented young persons in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with less than two years' professional experience. Candidates can submit their applications to www.newmediaaward.de up until December 31, 2005. The prize will be handed over in the presence of 600 invited guests at the awards ceremony, to be held in Frankfurt's Palais im Zoo on March 30, 2006.
